I've been otherwise occupied with offline issues (for longer than I'd realized, now that I look at that gap in my own contributions history) and haven't had much time for WV; but that's settled back down again, and I certainly still have places to travel. -- D. Destructive

So ... why did you undo all of my edits—considerable work—just to get your way on time formats. It would have been possible to change those through the search and replace function. Would you like me to come and undo your work in this way? Tony (talk) 09:17, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Birds of a feather. Fitzgerald couldn't point to a policy I was in defiance of and I doubt you can too. Really your edit just boiled down to "I don't like it, and I can't be bothered to even think about why someone might spend time doing this when we've never done this before." I don't suppose you're interested in the rationale for making it easier to distinguish good from bad examples in our MoS, but in case I'm wrong, here's some material to study: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style/Archive_107#Using_color_and_typeface_to_set_off_example_text_on_MOS_and_MOSNUM.

And just to save some more of your precious time (so you don't have to actually read that) here's your predicted response:

My question is answered, then. But I'm curious -- doesn't your own talk page request that others "be civil and polite if you wish your message to remain", and "Something to say about my edits to one of our articles? Please say it on that article's talk page, not here"?

Administrator status (Official Notice)

Hi, Dguillaume. Apologies for not sending you an e-mail, but you haven't enabled e-mail in your preferences.

Your service as a Wikivoyage administrator has been valuable. As you may be aware, though, our Wikivoyage:Administrators policy indicates that administrators who have not edited on the English Wikivoyage in over two years should have their administrator flags removed. This is for account security purposes, not a reflection of a loss of trust or any disappointment.

As such, we will be removing your administrator flag on December 1, 2015. Should you wish to retain your status, simply come on back and make an edit! That resets the clock. And if you ever decide to return to Wikivoyage as an active editor, your administrator flag can be restored by request.
