Hello, Le.kiff! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Your edits are very much appreciated. I did remove your "Culture" subheading, though, because the way you're using it doesn't fit into the structure of Wikivoyage:Large city article template. Microbreweries probably belong in the "Drink" section, unless the listing is about a brewery tour, which would belong in "Do"; either way, a Wikivoyage:Listings template should be used. Don't let that stop you from putting down information, but please do include any contact information you have, as names by themselves aren't usable. Food belongs in "Eat", unless it's only to take out, in which case, it could be in "Buy". Etc. Again, please continue putting information down, but when you have the time, look at Wikivoyage:Where you can stick it.

Happy editing and all the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:58, 20 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi again, Le.kiff. You're very diligent to add all those "towns" to Connecticut River Valley. Unfortunately, that article is a non-bottom-level region article, and in such articles, only at most 9 places can be listed under "Cities". Also, "Cities" is usually a generic word on this site that embraces towns, villages and so forth. So please remove most of the towns you've added. Sorry about that.

Best,

I should add, though, that that valley is in 4 states, so I don't think it should be breadcrumbed to Connecticut but should instead be an extraregion article. I started a thread on the article's talk page to that effect. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:48, 5 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

--Le.kiff (talk) 17:14, 8 October 2019 (UTC) I agree that CT River Valley is not exactly the best name for the region. It is better to call it Central Connecticut, as the valley region is long and centers around the river, and a poor representation of the region.Reply

The problem is that the Connecticut River Valley article can't just be renamed, as one of its listed regions is completely in Massachusetts and the other is partly in that state. I would suggest creating a new article called Central Connecticut and changing this one to an extraregion article that more clearly encompasses the multi-state valley it purports to represent. That will require further edits to other articles, though, so maybe we should have a discussion at Talk:Connecticut before this action is taken. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:40, 8 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
