RJFF
Hello, RJFF! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.--ϒpsilon (talk) 18:07, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Phone numbers
editHi. First of all thanks for this edit on Soest, just a minor point regarding the formatting of phone numbers. On Wikivoyage they should be in a format to be accessible from all around the world, that means including the country code. So for Germany the number would start with +49 and then the local area code without the leading zero. Please also note that the formatting has problems with slashes (/) in phone number and they should thus be avoided. Thanks. And thank you for your good work. Sister project links
editThanks for your edits! However, why are you removing the sister project links? Currently Wikivoyage is in a weird state-of-flux with sister projects, so the Wikipedia, Commons and other links at the bottom of articles generate the "related sites" links in the left nav, while Wikidata is used for the "In other projects" links in the left nav. At some point those will be consolidated, but until that happens there shouldn't be any reason to remove the sister project links from articles. -- Ryan • (talk) • 16:34, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hello @Wrh2: Why do we need these links twice (in "related sites" and "In other projects")? Looks quite redundant to me. Kind regards, --RJFF (talk) 16:41, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
- It is definitely redundant at the moment, but as mentioned the use of Wikidata to manage sister project links was only added recently, and there is still discussion going on about what the future of those links should be. For now, they act as a backup to the Wikidata record and can also be used by automated tools to validate that Wikidata links are correct. -- Ryan • (talk) • 18:02, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
Massluis
editHi there, RjFF,
I saw you changed Maassluis into Massluis. I can understand the Hook of Holland change (a name that is in use), but there seem to be hardly any references for Massluis. English language sources (travel related, Wikipedia) all seem to use Maassluis, and our own article is also called Maassluis (so you actually broke the link now). Am I missing something? JuliasTravels (talk) 13:27, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello @JuliasTravels: You are absolutely right. That edit was not intentional, I do not know why I did it. Thanks for asking! Kind regards, --RJFF (talk) 19:45, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
Madrid
editHi RJFF, thank you for plowing ahead and subdividing Madrid! I had hesitated as I simply don't know the city that well, and as you clearly do, your work is especially appreciated.

Rhön-Grabfeld Go next
editRegarding: this edit
Just out of curiosity, is there a road connection between Rhön-Grabfeld and Coburg?
By the way - thanks for all the improvements you've been making to German destination articles. ARR8 (talk | contribs) 14:13, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hello @ARR8: Yes there is. But you either have to go a long detour on the motorway or use bendy minor roads, as the area in between is mountainous and sparsely populated. Either way, it is not a convenient place to go next and other places are better accessible by far, even if Coburg may look nearby on the map. --RJFF (talk) 14:55, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Got it; thanks again. ARR8 (talk | contribs) 15:00, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- What about railways? Hobbitschuster (talk) 00:02, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Hobbitschuster: It takes more than two hours and two changes (Schweinfurt and Bamberg). This was the main reason to remove it. --RJFF (talk) 14:21, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
