Old banner showing bridge

New banner of barges.

I do like the new banner for this article, but it's extremely similar to one already in use on Warwickshire, further up the hierarchy. Might it be better to replace this article with another view of Stratford? --Nick talk 23:01, 17 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing that out - I had not noticed that. Unfortunately most of my photos (and those in commons) are of buildings in the town centre, from which it is hard to get something at 7:1, but another river view might be better. Please feel free to change it. AlasdairW (talk) 10:56, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have changed the banner to a view of barges on the river. I hope that this is not too similar to other Midlands towns. I notice that the Warwickshire banner is in Category:Wikivoyage banners of United Kingdom rather than Category:Wikivoyage banners of England which may be why I did not see it earlier. If anybody has a better image then please feel free to change to it. AlasdairW (talk) 21:01, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

We have three new banners from Wiki Loves Monuments. #19 is my favorite, and I believe that any of the three would be nicer than the existing one, which is dark, blurred, and has a featureless overexposed patch on the right. Would you support the change? --Alexander (talk) 15:47, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

The numbering is from here (the gallery of all banners submitted during Wiki Loves Monuments 2019). --Alexander (talk) 22:06, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
ThunderingTyphoons!, I uploaded the flipped version. --Alexander (talk) 00:03, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
I support 19 or 19a. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 00:04, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Ettington Chase

edit

[1], I noticed the Principal Hayley hotel Ettington Chase is not listed, can we have it listed? Beautiful historic building with modern facilities. Send me a message if you require any details not public on the website VerbInteractive (talk) 20:14, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

That seems like a sufficient reason to list it. Other feedback? Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:37, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
A quick glance seems to show that this hotel is actually in the village Ettington, almost 10km from the town centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. Ettington doesn't seem to be covered otherwise in this article, but it hasn't got an entry of its own either. JuliasTravels (talk) 22:18, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
This seems to the be the closest region, the only thing I can think of, off the top of my head, about Ettington that is of interest is another hotel was used for filming the 1963 horror film The Haunting. If you folks decide to post this listing here is the markup to save time:

Well, are there any restaurants or pubs in Ettington? Any parks? I'll post this listing here provisionally, but just because a place isn't an obvious tourist destination doesn't mean there might not be enough there for an article. But then again, sometimes, there isn't. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:48, 18 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Most visitors to Ettington come for the proximity to Stratford-upon-Avon, if a Ettington article gets created, we will contribute. In the mean time, I have a suggested description for Ettington Chase: A hotel and event venue offering 130 bedrooms, and 15 meeting and event rooms 7 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon.
