Update Amsterdam tram network

edit

The Amsterdam tram network is not up to date. Can someone please update it? The current tram lines are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 24 and 26. Lines 9, 10 and 16 do not longer exist and line 19 should be added. https://reisinfo.gvb.nl/nl/lijnen for all the public transport lines in Amsterdam (push tram icon to filter on tram lines)

London Underground Colours

edit

This document by TFL lists the Pantone colours of the London Underground Lines. The Pantone website has the hex colours for the underground lines, and I noticed the ones on Wikivoyage are different. Here are the correct hexes:

  • Central: #DA291C
  • Circle: #FFCD00
  • District: #007A33
  • DLR: #00B2A9
  • Hammersmith & City: #E89CAE
  • Jubilee: #7C878E
  • Metropolitan: #840B55
  • Northern: #2D2926
  • Overground: #E87722
  • Piccadilly: #10069F
  • Victoria: #00A3E0
  • Waterloo & City: #6ECEB2

Template update needed

edit
Swept in from the pub

As the Tuen Ma Line in Hong Kong has just opened, amalgamating the original Ma On Shan and West Rail Lines with a few new stations, can someone experienced with templates help with creating a new sub-template for the Tuen Ma Line, and probably removing the old sub-templates for the two old lines? Regards.廣九直通車 (talk) 02:24, 29 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Are you referring to the SVG map image at Hong_Kong#By_Mass_Transit_Railway? (I can't actually help with that, but it may be helpful to clarify the request for those who might be competent with SVG files.) Nelson Ricardo (talk) 04:17, 29 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I forgot to mention the template itself, it's {{Rint}} and the corresponding {{Rail-interchange/doc/Asia}} for Template:Rail-interchange/doc/Asia#Hong Kong. The SVG image will also need an update as well, thanks!廣九直通車 (talk) 03:42, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@廣九直通車: Consider it done. I have added the Tuen Ma line, but also added the lines (excluding peak services) on the MTR light rail network and given everything a mouseover text, which displays the termini for each line. For future reference, there is a dedicated request page for RINT over at Template talk:Rail-interchange/requests.
-- Wauteurz (talk) 08:03, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! Just want to ask if it's possible to redirect the old {{rint|hongkong|mos}} and {{rint|hongkong|wr}} to our new  Tuen Ma ? I remember there's originally pages using the old syntax before.廣九直通車 (talk) 08:37, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
There is, yes. I wasn't aware tm replaced mos and wr, but I've made the syntaxes "mos" and "wr" an alias to "tm" to fix that - saves everyone the trouble of checking and updating everything. I don't see reason to add them to the documentation page though, as they're no longer lines that are used under that name. -- Wauteurz (talk) 09:20, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Updating template

edit

Could someone add the turkey specific icons from the wikipedia version of this template https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Rail-interchange/doc/TR (I'd do it myself if only I knew how!). Thanks —The preceding comment was added by 90.240.121.211 (talkcontribs)

All done! I'm not familiar with the systems, so if there are any glaring issues or omissions, let me know. Funiculars and Aerial Lifts should really be removed as they're out of scope (they generally don't serve more than two stations and are isolated systems outside of that), but I'm fine with leaving them in. I did add a mouse-over text for everything but funiculars and aerial lifts to integrate some of the features added since making those labels. -- Wauteurz (talk) 17:16, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

New Caledonian Tanéo

edit

Is it possible to make one for something like   this? I'd do it myself but I'm not sure how images work here in this template. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:31, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

If possible, can Route 12 and 40 for Nouméa also be done? A design of it can be found here or here. Thanks! SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:48, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
@SHB2000: The Tanéo logo can definitely be added, yes. Czechia and the Netherlands also have operators listed instead of actual lines, so it's not a new thing. It would look something like this:  Tanéo  /  Tanéo . Alternatively, the yellow in the accent can be used as well:  Tanéo  or  Tanéo . Let me know which one has your preference. Before I add lines though, is there any reason for why only 12 and 40 should be added? It looks like the lines divisible by ten are distinct from other lines because of their design. Do you know if these lines are distinct from others (for example, they have higher frequencies, bigger buses, you name it), or am I just seeing things that aren't? If it is the case, I'd say that 10, 20, et cetera should be added too. The system looks well-organised with a great coverage though, so I see an argument for including every line as well.
-- Wauteurz (talk) 13:21, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply. I'd prefer  Tanéo . AFAIK, the lines in Nouméa are quite well organised and are quite distinct. So bus lines for unis have a separate network which we don't need here. For 12 and 40, that was the only one I currently need at the moment, although I might need some others as well. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 22:36, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Et voilà, mon ami! I ended up not doing the logos for Tanéo or Karuïa Bus, since pretty much every line aside from school buses is listed, so practically, I wouldn't end up being used anyway. Having a scan across the French Wikipedia articles, it doesn't seem that any Tanéo lines would be a logical exclusion, but let me know if the shortened or derived lines for Karuïa Bus are worth maintaining or not. It simply feels wrong to add this many regular bus lines to RINT, so if I can remove any, I would do so happily. -- Wauteurz (talk) 20:38, 25 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Merci Wauteurz! Looks good. Now time to implement them. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:11, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Am I much mistaken or is that system not mentioned in any way on the main New Caledonia page? Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:14, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't seem to be the case yet, with the key word being yet. These systems are (for as far as I know) mostly around Nouméa (Grande Terre) and if I read between the lines a bit, SHB seems to have the intention to improve its article as well as the greater region. -- Wauteurz (talk) 19:00, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, there's not much outside once you go 50km outside Noumea. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 23:12, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Rename the Crossrail template to solely "Elizabeth line"

edit

Crossrail is used as an intermediary name to refer to the company that builds the line and its development. When it's open, the line will just be called the "Elizabeth line". Can we remove the Crossrail name on the RINT icon? Inferno986return (talk) 11:52, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

All done. I did change the label to "EBL" instead of "Elizabeth Line" or simply "Elizabeth" to stay in line with other London labels. If there's a better three or four letter abbreviation, I'll happily change it to that. The mouse-over text does clarify with "TfL Rail: Elizabeth Line", and the label can also be obtained with  ELI  {{rint|london|elizabeth}} or {{rint|london|elizabethline}}. I'll switch the documentation page to list "elizabeth" as the suggested option to reflect this change.
-- Wauteurz (talk) 17:25, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
The TfL Rail brand has been retired, so the mouse-over text should just read "Elizabeth Line" (I know it's confusing, because it's a whole new mode, not simply a line of the Tube, but that's the name they went with).--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 14:16, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Canberra bus and light rail routes

edit

I'm wondering if it's possible to create Canberra's nine main bus routes plus the light rail route. I couldn't find a design of all on one page, but this map has all the 10 routes. Thanks in advance, --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 14:21, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@SHB2000: They've been added. Not sure if "Canberra RAPID" is a good, short description of the route system, but it's easy enough to change the mouse-over texts :)
-- Wauteurz (talk) 14:54, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Wauteurz Thanks for the addition :-). That was a quick one. re Canberra RAPID, it looks like a good short description to me. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 14:56, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Line 2 (Green Line):  2
  • Line 3 (Purple Line):  3

  • Line 6 (Orange Line):  6

@Sbb1413: I added in colours where they were lacking based on the article for the Metro system on enwiki, and changed the mouseover to list the termini of both lines, but all six have now been added to the template.

Marseille Metro line 2 missing from template?

edit

Stations on Marseille metro line 2 are displaying the wrong colour icon. (Should be Scarlet/Red) Petefarrand (talk) 17:33, 24 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not done: @Petefarrand,  M2  {{rint|marseille|m2}} already uses the red that is used in the route icon on Commons. I can tell though that the RTM use  #e30613  as their colour for M2 on their own website. I can't tell however, which is the actual line colour. Are you able to provide any clarity on whether Commons or RTM is to be followed here?
-- Wauteurz (talk) 11:23, 26 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
There is nothing wrong with the template, All the entries previously submitted were wrong. 1 as opposed to m1. Petefarrand (talk) 11:31, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see what you mean now. I'll consider this issue resolved then. For future reference, all possible labels that RINT can create are listed at Template:Rail-interchange/doc (/doc/Southern Europe for France). France is however a bit overrepresented with bus routes, which is what  2  {{rint|marseille|2}} would have presented you with.

Los Angeles Metro

New London Overground line names

edit

The London Overground lines have been given new names and colours, as of February 2024 (https://madeby.tfl.gov.uk/2024/02/15/overground_line_names/?intcmp=75213) which will need new RINT templates and updating on the London pages:

  • Lioness line (formerly Watford DC - Watford Junction to Euston) - colour: #e8b230
  • Windrush line (Highbury & Islington to New Cross/Clapham Junction/Crystal Palace/West Croydon) - colour: #de4c59
  • Mildmay line (formerly North London Line - Richmond and Clapham Junction to Stratford) - colour: #4c75ab
  • Weaver line (Liverpool Street to Enfield Town/Cheshunt/Chingford) - colour: #872c54
  • Liberty line (Romford to Upminster) - colour: #61615f
  • Suffragette line (formerly the GOBLIN - Gospel Oak to Barking) - colour: #3cb077

Inferno986return (talk) 15:36, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Inferno986return:   Done. I've abbreviated line names to three letters to fit the styling for other London lines. I tried to retain as many of the old codes that were used for overground lines as aliases for the new line names, so that as little as possible has to be changed manually. Currently, these are:
  • romfordupminster → liberty
  • watforddc → lioness
  • northlondon → mildmay
  • gospeloakbarking → suffragette
  • leavalley → weaver
  • eastlondon → windrush
The only codes I couldn't link to new lines properly were the South- and West London lines. If they can be added to any other lines, please let me know and I'll add them. Stylistically, labels are now as follows:  LIB , but there's an argument to be made to display them as  LIB , as to sort of mimic the double line with which the lines are depicted on the tube map. I'd say it's good enough as it is :)
Wauteurz (talk) 17:34, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Awesome! I'll have a play with these. 😀 Inferno986return (talk) 16:38, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Template:Rint needs updating for Los Angeles

edit
Swept in from the pub

Sorry if this isn't the right place - but Los Angeles assigned new letters to its Metro lines and built a new pink K line. Could someone please add the new line and change the existing ones? Shortbrief (talk) 06:00, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Shortbrief, thanks for this note. Do you have a link to information about the new letters and where the new line runts? WhatamIdoing (talk) 18:40, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Shortbrief: Edit requests for RINT are usually to be made here. That said, I've gone ahead and updated the metro lines, and renamed their labels to the letter system now in place. I also found Metrolink's Arrow service to be missing and added that as well. Feel free to @ me if there's anything else missing or in need of an update.
