Hello, Bostonride! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

As for why the Boston talk page is blocked, it has been targeted by an individual that has vandalized Wikivoyage articles and talk pages on and off since 2015, and has become very active over the last couple of months. --Ypsilon (talk) 19:50, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

it should not be blocked over perceived attacks. Also, you need to approach somebody like that because blocks get him attention!

Im amazed no historical info exists in boston article! —The preceding comment was added by Bostonride (talkcontribs)

Revert, block, ignore is how we handle vandals on Wikivoyage; it deprives them of attention and minimises the disruption they can cause. But I do agree with lifting the lock on Talk:Boston as it's affecting people like you who genuinely want to help. I will do that now so if you'd like to post there, feel free.
There's loads of historical info on the Boston article; you just need to read further down to the 'Understand' section. Anything you can add in terms of travel content would be most welcome. All the best, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 22:11, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi. Is this an innocent edit? Please understand, we've had vandalism all over the site on this kind of subject that we've had to delete over and over. I'm sorry if you got caught up in this innocently, but please understand, posts to talk pages are never intentionally deleted by longstanding users unless they are spam, vandalism, contain threats or the like. Restoring a vandalistic edit automatically makes you look like a sockpuppet of the vandal, so if you are genuinely innocent, say so and your editing privileges can be restored for now, but I can only urge you not to restore deleted edits to talk pages again.
