Welcome

edit

Hello! Thank you for your contributions to the Algeria article. Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

I've removed some of the pictures you posted because they weren't consistent with out policy on images -- please see Wikivoyage:Image policy. I've moved others around in the article because we don't want to have all of the photos upfront. You might get want to consider adding your pictures to articles about regions, cities or towns as the Algeria article already has a lit of pictures.

If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a question in the Arrivals lounge. Thanks again for being a part of Wikivoyage! Ground Zero (talk) 13:16, 11 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Article templates

edit

Hi. In addition to the good advice you were given above, please look at Wikivoyage:Article templates. A brief untemplated remark plus several images is not at all Wikivoyage style. Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:43, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've added the template to get you started. Can you add information on how to get there, where to eat, where to stay? Without that, thus doesn't provide useful information to travellers. Thanks. Ground Zero (talk) 18:15, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Article templates and images again

edit

Hi, Fayeqalnatour. Are you reading anything on this page? On Wikis, it's important for people to communicate and work together, so I'd appreciate a reply to let everyone know you're paying attention to what we're trying to communicate to you.

That said:

You tried adding 2 images to the Djanet stub. There is no room for even 1 image now! What's important is to fill out a proper small city article template. After you have a look at that link, you can go to Wikivoyage:Quick small city article template and copy and paste all the section headers and code on that page to Djanet, then please start filling in content. The place for large numbers of photos with only a little text is Wikimedia Commons. This is a travel guide, and that means that the images serve to complement the text, not vice versa.

I hope this makes sense. If there's anything you don't understand, please ask a question by typing a reply below. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:31, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Again please read the useful advice above. --Traveler100 (talk) 09:19, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Tlemcen algeria

edit

I have moved the article to Tlemcen to match this sites naming convention. --Traveler100 (talk) 09:21, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Tlemcan is presumably the same place, too, so I turned your stub with loads of photos (not Wikivoyage style! Please stop doing that!) into a redirect. I also deleted your "Fayeq M Alnatour‎‎" article. Your user page is User:Fayeqalnatour. You may introduce yourself there, though not by touting, but per Wikivoyage:What is an article, people's names are not destinations and don't get articles in mainspace.
I hope you'll pardon me for being so direct, but I would like you to please explain what your purpose for being here is. You have never made a single effort to pay any attention to anything written here or any edit summaries, but you just keep on creating really brief stubs - often of articles that already exist under a similar name - and putting loads of thumbnails in them that extend way, way beyond the limits of the stub. This is useless and only creates unnecessary work for others. I'm tempted to block your posting privileges if you continue this way. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:19, 19 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
