Hello, Sondor21! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Pashley (talk) 14:22, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

deletions

edit

I just removed one of your articles Tuj pine forest because it appeared to be a copyright violation; I found identical text on this page. See the copyleft link above for details & some limited exceptions, but basically you cannot copy either text or photos here without explicit permission from the copyright holder.

If anything else you have added came from some other site, please remove it. Pashley (talk) 14:36, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The "Buir nuur" article was also obvious copyright violation, including the sentence "We are operating in the field of tourism that only goes to the same lake every year" and a footnote number that goes to nowhere. If you continue copying and pasting from other sites, we'll have to block your editing privileges. Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:47, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
And your Buir lake article was re-deleted. Sondor21, please read Wikivoyage:What is an article, Wikivoyage:Bodies of water, and then reply here, or the next time you start an article that doesn't fulfill the tests mentioned on those articles, we'll have to block you for ignoring attempts to discuss Wikivoyage policies, guidelines and practices with you. You were blocked for failing to read and comply with the above. If you care, read WIAA, read WV:Goals and non-goals, and acknowledge. Ibaman (talk) 14:10, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm sorry for the mistake I made, I want to release my block so I won't make it again Sondor21 (talk) 15:10, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
you may argue your case in Wikivoyage:User ban nominations#MON. Ibaman (talk) 15:17, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
won't you release my block? Sondor21 (talk) 16:00, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
will you please click on the link, access the page, read its contents, and argue your case. Thanks for unerstanding, for your concern, and for contributing to Wikivoyage. Ibaman (talk) 17:07, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
No-one is likely to release the block. However, you are only blocked for three days, mainly to get your attention. Once that time is up, you will be able to edit again, though if you then misbehave again you'll be blocked again for some longer time.
Basically, you & other new users in your group are very welcome here; your local knowledge can be extremely valuable to the site. However, you do need to work within the site's policies. In particular you cannot copy either text or or photos from another site without explicit permission from the copyright holder & individual attractions like a mountain or lake generally do not get their own articles; they are handled as listings within a destination article, e.g. for a city or national park.
Those policies have some complications & a few exceptions; for details see links already given above. Pashley (talk) 17:22, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
