I checked what was marked as a possible typo and confirmed that it was one, so I typed "yes", but maybe I shouldn't have typed anything on the project page; please advise. There have been some incorrect ones. In an article about a formerly French part of India, someone who was clearly Francophone wrote that a woman became an "ascet", thinking that would be an English word for someone who takes on an ascetic lifestyle, but the bot(?) thought it might be a misspelling of "asset", which would have made no sense in context. - From my understanding (though Uziel302 should confirm), when you see a proposed spelling change that's incorrect, you click on "Remove" and it removes it from the page. When you see a proposed spelling change that's right, you click "Replace" and the proposed word will replace the typo. When the original word is wrong but the proposed word is also wrong, then you click on "Type" and write the correct spelling. I don't know what "Move to Talk" means. - User:Ikan Kekek you haven't put the script line on your common.js page as instructed in project page, hence you don't see the buttons that are needed for this project. Removing paragraphs is suboptimal since it doesn't give me the needed edit summary to ignore the word in next scan.Uziel302 (talk) 16:10, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

More context edit
This is a very useful tool. As I've been using it, I sometimes find that more context would help. If the entire sentence or even paragraph could be given, it would be a huge help in assessing the correct spelling. Nelson Ricardo 2500 (talk) 19:59, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Listen, anyone who wants to "correct" typos in one click using Wikivoyage:Correct typos in one click needs to read what you're editing. - Even with duplicate words, you have to be careful, especially with Malayo-Polynesian expressions, though they're usually hyphenated or in a single word. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:57, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

- Same in Malay/Indonesian, though it's not obligatory to duplicate the word for a plural meaning, but there are also words like labu-labu (butterfly, but perhaps that's a Terengganu dialect word? Google is translating that as "pumpkins" and gives "rama-rama" for butterfly), kupu-kupu (moth), mata-mata (spy), baring-baring (gnat) and kadang-kadang (sometimes). - In Swedish removal of duplicate words often remove a significant one, when the same word refers to different things, like "I saw him, him making firewood" (in some structures the repeating is needed), or just homonyms appearing one after another (en ren ren, a clean/pure reindeer). This happens seldom, but not too seldom compared to actual duplicates. I suppose English is quite close to Swedish in this respect. –LPfi (talk) 05:38, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Are -ise forms apparently "typos" now? edit
I've noticed that this tool now lists some words with the French -ise prefix, such as this or this as typos. Why tho? They aren't typos, they're just a different dialect. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 10:36, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
