Hey B.Korlah, thanks for all the work you've put in on Wikivoyage about Nigeria articles. They've been looking great so far, and I'm sure many travellers will use them to explore Nigeria. Merry Christmas to you :) --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 08:05, 24 December 2021 (UTC) |
Same to you and thank you very much. B.Korlah (talk) 08:12, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
Region articles
editHi B. Korlah,
Thank you for your contributions to Wikivoyage. Wikivoyage:Region article template says:
- "Almost always, individual listings (including detailed contact info for restaurants and hotels) do *not* belong in a region or sub-region page. The region-level description is a brief overview only; it will mention that Walt Disney World is near Orlando but not list full contact info. Don't name every hotel and eatery in the area."
The listings you adding are really good information. Could you move them from the state articles to the city articles? Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 14:14, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
Okay. Thank you for the ping, I’d do that B.Korlah (talk) 14:25, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
Could you kindly specify the articles that needs to be updated? B.Korlah (talk) 14:26, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Edo State — eat listings
- Ondo State — eat and drink listings
- Adamawa State — eat, drink, buy, sleep listings
- The detailed information on See and Do listings (address, phone number, hours, prices) really belongs in city articles, too. We prefer to provide only general information about what to see and do in the region article. The reason for this is that it is easier to keep information up to date if it is only in one place. If someone updates the listing just the city article, for example, then the reader will see different information in different articles, which can be confusing. I hope that helps. Ground Zero (talk) 14:34, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
Okay. Thank you, I’d update it as soon as I can. B.Korlah (talk) 14:43, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
Potiskum
editHello, please could you check the companies listed in Potiskum#By_bus. The websites of neither bus companies show buses to Potiskum. Either I have found the wrong websites for these companies or they don't go there, please can you clarify. AlasdairW (talk) 22:52, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
Hiii. I’ve updated the article, those companies listed offer bus services into the state (majorly the state capital) from which you then take a bus or cab down to Potiskum. That has however been updated in the article.
Kind regards B.Korlah (talk) 03:33, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you.
- It would be useful if you could expand on this in the article, for the benefit of readers like me who don't know the geography of Nigeria, giving details of where to go using these companies and some info on the local bus or cab. It would also be good to have some details on the taxis from the airports (rough cost and taxi company phone numbers). Foreign visitors may be reluctant to take a taxi for a journey more than 10km because of what it would cost back home, so some cost info would help. AlasdairW (talk) 20:38, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
Okay. Would update it. Thank you B.Korlah (talk) 22:43, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
