Port St. LucieEdit

There aren't really any good pictures of Port St. Lucie on Wikimedia Commons. If you, or someone you know, could take some pictures around there, then upload to Commons, I'd be happy to make a banner for the city. Cheers! --Ebyabe (talk) 17:04, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for getting back. I'm gonna go on a photo spree around the major neighborhoods. DAZ14LPA (talk) 21:19, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi. I appreciate that you've turned over a new leaf and are being collegial as well as prolific. I'll have a look at this article at my leisure, but it's probably best for me not to look at it too closely. I often find your style more in the vein of promoting tourism to the places you write about than I'm normally comfortable doing, and I don't think I should tempt myself to substitute my tone for yours. For that reason, I'm content to largely let others make decisions about these kinds of things and patrol your work only to the extent of fixing typos and doing other copy editing, as my recollection is that you have for some time been following Wikivoyage guidelines pretty closely.

Best,

Thanks for letting me know, and sorry for bugging you. I'll go through with it, and if it doesn't look right, you can delete it. DAZ14LPA (talk) 13:27, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
It's not a bug, and there's nothing to apologize for. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:41, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay. I'll get back to work on the article. DAZ14LPA (talk) 21:51, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Looks good so far. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:27, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

To clear upEdit

If anyone sees capitalization (People have always gotten on me for this before) on my page, I'm using it to emphasize something; i.e.: NEVER sleeps, cold IN SPRING. Or, where I am from, the street signs are capitalized: BLVD, ST, RD, AVE. Hope this helps. DAZ14LPA (talk) 11:03, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

You can add emphasis with, for example ''something'' and '''something else''' which display as something and something else. Pashley (talk) 03:28, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
Oh...........................kay. Sorry for trying to clear up confusion, @Pashley:. Donny (talk) 17:37, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

ArchivingEdit

I know you want to keep your talk page free of clutter, but I would advise you to wait a little bit longer with the archiving. I for example have not archived some discussions that could be considered mostly resolved, because it may be helpful to somebody who wants to clear stuff up with me, to see that the issue has already been raised and which kind of resolution (if any) was found. Few people ever read through archives, and some people might get confused or even offended if they see their contributions to a talk page "missing" after just a few days. It is of course your decision, but I would just ask you to keep that in mind. And as an aside: try being a little calmer and not taking everything to heart. There are some issues we may disagree upon and you are not writing for a wiki if none of your contributions were ever reverted. (it happens to the best, trust me). This is usually not something personal at all, unless you make it something personal. Best wishes and I hope we can keep you as a constructive contributor. Thanks for the heads up; I should have known that before I archived "willy-nilly", my words of course. Thanks, again, especially for the support; may not last, but hey, thank you for the tips! DAZ14LPA (talk) 19:37, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
No problem Hobbitschuster (talk) 12:20, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

MontrealEdit

Just came across your user page where you said you "heard some rumor that if you speak English in Montreal, you get assaulted or even killed". From personal experience, I can tell you that rumor is one million percent not true. I speak fluent French and have been to Quebec many times, and Montreal is the one place where, if you're speaking French to someone and they hear that you have an accent, they'll switch to English right away whether you want them to or not. It drove me nuts. Aside from that, it's an amazing city and totally worth your time if you're up that way.

It's true that speaking English in Quebec can sometimes be mistaken as a political statement against the Quebec independence movement, but that's usually only true in small towns and regions that don't see a lot of tourist traffic. And it will almost never result in anything worse than a dirty look; certainly not in murder.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, AC. I didn't know that, and for some odd reason, I thought it applied to the bigger cities, like Montreal and Quebec City. If that's how it really is, switching to English if that's the case, so be it. Donny (talk) 12:32, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
