Hello, Iceandsnow! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.--ϒpsilon (talk) 14:52, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, welcome to Wikivoyage! Thanks for your edits on Groningen, those are real improvements. JuliasTravels (talk) 21:33, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
A thank you from me as well. You may be interested to hear that there is an article on Intercity buses in Germany with some of them also serving the Netherlands. Maybe you can fill in some information there that I have missed (I live on the other side of the country) Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:09, 24 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikivoyage image policy edit

Hello, and thanks so much for your edits to Groningen and other articles about the Netherlands! I did revert your addition of a "Photo Gallery" section, though. Wikivoyage's policy on galleries and montages is quite different from Wikipedia's practices. We don't use montages and use galleries only in very specific circumstances. You could probably add a couple more regular-sized thumbnails to the Groningen article if you want to, but if people want to see more images, that's what the Commons link is for.

Let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:03, 28 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

That's too bad, but thanks for your message anyway. Iceandsnow (talk) 12:13, 28 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
You can always make an argument at Wikivoyage talk:Image policy for a policy change, or at Talk:Groningen for an exception. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:21, 28 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Replacing A-roads with E-roads in the Netherlands and Germany edit

Hello Ice and Snow,

You've been changing A-roads into E-roads on a number of articles. We try to serve the traveller first. Both in the Netherlands and in Germany, A-numbers are more commonly used by locals and while it's fine to add the E-numbers to the templates, it's not okay to just remove the A-numbers without further discussion. It's not only about what people can see on the signs, but also about asking directions or getting traffic updates. Please have a look at the Pub discussion about this, and weigh in there.
