Welcome edit

Hello, MrPaschenko! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Currency symbols edit

Please check the country talk pages for how to denote their currencies (the box at the top right of the pages). For Ukraine, we prefer "грн". If you think "₴" would be better, please open a discussion on that page.

In general, before making systematic changes on many pages, please check that there indeed is consensus on those changes, either by finding the relevant guideline, or by asking at a relevant page or in the Pub.

Dear LPfi,
Thank you for letting me know about this problem.
First of all, I must apologise for breaking the agreement to use "грн" instead of ₴. I will try to revert my edits shortly.
Secondly, thanks for letting me know about the discussion page of Ukraine, I didn't have a chance to familiarise myself with it. I would like to continue the discussion there.
Best regards,

By the way, thanks for your currency conversions in various Croatia articles! Now it's just Bulgaria from next year... SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 09:38, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hopefully they will change to euros as well, can't wait editing Bulgarian articles! MrPaschenko (talk) 09:39, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Visiting Ukraine edit

This is no time for people who are not either fighting, working for relief organizations and such or diplomats to be visiting Ukraine, so what's the point in deleting Transnistria in "Go next" on the basis that the border is closed because of the war or indeed having any "Go next" destinations? I frankly think that spending much time on articles about countries at war like Ukraine and Syria at this point is a waste of time for a travel guide. Although Ukraine is currently a war zone, I don't see why someone who is very knowledgeable or is a local can't improve Ukraine articles. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 09:56, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Shark listings edit

We usually don't list the same company on many pages. Duplicating a listing over several pages makes it nearly guaranteed not to be updated everywhere when there is a change. You may have a list of pages where the listing has been added, but content must not require a specific user to be around. The Shark company seems to have a widespread presence. Would it make sense to list it in the country article instead, together with other similar businesses and typical alternatives? –LPfi (talk) 13:02, 28 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Don't edit other people's remarks on talk pages edit

All of that needs to be reverted, and it's a pain. Your cooperation on this will be appreciated. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:58, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
