To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.
Thanks a lot for jumping right in and making contributions! A quick word of caution, though: Wikivoyage often ignores provinces. How or whether to divide an article into districts for the purposes of this guide is something that's done by discussion on the talk page of each article and based on the interests of the traveler. The mere fact that a government structures a region a particular way isn't per se close to conclusive, or in some cases, even relevant.
All the best,
Hello, and thanks again for being so active and adding so much content!
In region-level articles, URLs are normally not included in any listings, because the city or other destinations (park, island, etc.) articles should be the place where more detailed listings are kept. So for example, in the Basilicata article, this listing is more than sufficient:
- Matera — The town of "Sassi" (UNESCO World Heritage), declared European Capital of Culture 2019
In this case, I'm not sure "European Capital of Culture 2019" needs a link even in the Matera article, but such a link definitely is not needed at the region level. Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:37, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
Please do not ever remove any map from any article. If you think you have any complaints against any of them, please state your case in WV:Map. Thanks in advance Ibaman (talk) 19:26, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
I've upgraded your user rights to autopatroller. This has no impact on you or your contributions, so there is no need to be concerned by this update. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 17:02, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
