Hello, SimonLoaner! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:05, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
When you delete a listing
editSimonLoaner, thanks so much for all the updates you've already made! I have a small favor to ask: When you delete a listing, say why in your edit summary (presumably, that it's out of business, but it's best to type "closed" or something else that makes that clear). We can see you deleted the listing, so "deleted listing for x" doesn't actually tell us anything.
Thanks again and all the best,
Crawford
editHi!
Thanks for your work on articles about Nebraska. You may be interested that we'll soon (tomorrow actually :)) feature Crawford (Nebraska) on the Main Page as May 2021's Off the beaten path article. If you happen to know the town and notice something important is missing, feel free to add it. --Ypsilon (talk) 17:29, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Big Springs
editHi. I just saw this edit. The problem with it is that Big Springs is breadcrumbed directly to Nebraska Panhandle, so removing its listing from that article orphans the article. You can remedy that by breadcrumbing it directly to an article for one of the subregions of the Panhandle (in other words, putting that subregion article name in the "IsIn" code at the end of the Big Springs article and listing it in the "Cities" section of the subregion article), but unless you're going to do that right away, it would be best to keep it in the Panhandle article for now.
Thanks for all the great work!
Best,
What counts as a typo
editHi, and thanks for contributing.
These are not typos. These represent the difference between British and American English. Which style of English is preferred in Nauru? We should use American English if that's used in Nauru, or British English if it is preferred there. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 15:10, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
