Welcome
editHello, Xepheid! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:32, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Welcome and thank you for your edits. Two small details: there should be no empty line between list entries, as that breaks them for machine reading (such as speech synthesizer), and we leave out the (0) in phone numbers (as people would have to guess at what it means instead of just clicking or typing in the full number – for landlines they need to read Finland#Connect). --LPfi (talk) 15:53, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
Jurmo, Nötö, Utö
editI notice you included info on Nötö in Korpo. It should really be put in its own article when somebody has time to write it, but it is good it is somewhere until that. I might move it to Nagu as it is in that municipality and the ferries leave from there. Jurmo is just a redirect. I think I will delete it, not to cause confusion. I have a preliminary version, which I might publish when I have the time to check it. If you know about its services, you could put it in Korpo, as you did for Nöto (and Jurmo is in Korpo, although far enough that I didn't include it here myself). If you have the time, I'd appreciate your checking Utö, Archipelago Sea and Archipelago Trail as well. Thanks for Iniö, by the way. --LPfi (talk) 16:07, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
- I now published my Jurmo article, without checking it much – I never came around deleting the redirect. You might want to have a look. --LPfi (talk) 10:30, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Road conditions on E8
editI removed this remark of yours in Kilpisjärvi (my edit summary was lost in a null edit, so I looked up when it was added to be able to ask):
- Route E8 is infamous for being in bad condition between Muonio and Kilpisjärvi. During the winter there might be thick layer of snow on the road.
This sounds like the road is infamous because of winter driving conditions, and thick snow on the road in winter is the rule in most of northern Lapland, so I though it made little sense. I added a remark on the high altitude instead.
Is the road otherwise in bad condition? If so, we should reinsert your comment on that, but including a year, as we might not note any repairs. I haven't noticed it being bad, but then I haven't been the driver.
