LovelyChizzy
Hello LovelyChizzy! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward
- Village pump → travellers' pub
- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- stub tagging → Article status
It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!
Thank you very much for starting and adding content to the article about Owerri! Let us know if we can help you in any way or if you have any questions about Wikivoyage's style and structure.
All the best,
Business listings
editThanks for adding business listings to the Owerri article.
In future, no matter how long the listing you’d like to add, add it using the “add listing” link that should appear in each section. The “add listing” form does the formatting for you and makes it easier to add business listings. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 17:25, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Copyvio
editHi there.
I've noticed that Sokoto#Do is copied from a website. Copying text from other (non-wiki) websites is not allowed. Please remove the offending text or rewrite it in such a way that it is your own work. Thank you. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 23:08, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Phone number formatting
editHi again!
I have a question about phone number formatting (see Wikivoyage:Phone numbers. We include the international number before each phone number as an international travel guide.
How would format a phone number such as this one?
Customer care line: 0813 252 8558.
Would this become +234 813 252 8558 ? Or +234 0813 252 8558 ?
Thanks, an explanation would be appreciated. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 12:35, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's the first. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | en.wikipedia) 22:57, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
+234 813 252 8558 this is the accurate way to format phone number LovelyChizzy (talk) 23:16, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks! SHB2000 (talk | contribs | en.wikipedia) 23:17, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- The only countries where the zero is kept by default are Italy, San Marino and the Vatican. Gizza (roam) 23:35, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. We could perhaps add the correct format to Wikivoyage:Phone numbers, unless it feels obvious. I just wanted to be sure given the way the original formatting was written. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 02:06, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- Now the example is
+234 813 XXX-XXXX
. Should it rather be+234 XXX YYY-YYYY
? I suppose (0)813 is an arbitrary area code. –LPfi (talk) 16:54, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Now the example is
- Agreed, will make the change (if not done already). There was no example before today. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 17:22, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
Bus terminal articles
editFor God's sake, will you please stop creating articles like that, which are obviously not for this site, per the What is an article guidelines, as has been explained to you? I am thisclose to blocking your posting privileges for 3 days. Please pay more attention to our efforts to communicate with you. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:28, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- AmyCutie is the user who was making this mistake. I believe LovelyChizzy is making this mistake for the first time. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:56, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oh. Very sorry for confusing you two and for the overly harsh language. User:LovelyChizzy, please don't worry about anything; just have a look at What is an article. Bus terminals should be listed in articles for the cities where they're located. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:02, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- OK, but please pay attention to your user talk page and don't restore this kind of article after it's been deleted. I have disabled ordinary users from being able to recreate the article again, so I hope that gets your attention if this page doesn't. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:04, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

So sorry about that. It was not intentional LovelyChizzy (talk) 22:40, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- It's OK, and again, I'm sorry for my language when this was just a mistake you made because you didn't know we don't have such articles. Welcome, Wikipedians will be a useful page for you to look at, and let me know if you have any questions.
- All the best,
Expedition
editA new "expedition" has been created to support the fantastic work of the Nigerian team. Please see Wikivoyage:Nigeria Expedition. Ground Zero (talk) 02:29, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

editThank you for your work on Nigerian articles! It's an underrecognized area here, and I'm glad to have someone working in it. Vaticidalprophet (talk) 08:43, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

The opening of the Nigeria café
editDear LovelyChizzy, we are exited to open our new Nigeria Café, open to all. It is a place for the users of the Wikivoyage:Nigeria Expedition users to collaborate, ask for help, make announcements, make initiatives and most importantly celebrate article related celebrations. It is also a place for you to ask general questions, and an experienced user or an admin will be sure to answer the question and possibly teach more on how Wikivoyage works.
This is also meant to be on top of the Wikivoyage:Nigeria Expedition, which is also meant to help us improve our Nigerian destinations. If you haven't already joined, feel free to join, and it is never too late.
So be sure to check out Wikivoyage:Nigeria café
Thanks! SHB2000 (talk | contribs | en.wikipedia) 14:53, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
LovelyChizzy, I left a message for you at Talk:Yola. Please respond to it. Please look at the map on this article. None of the places for which you have added coordinates are placed at Yola on the map. One is in Lagos, and another is in the Republic of Niger. This is not helpful for travellers. Please check the coordinates. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 20:28, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi LovelyChizzy, thanks for writing the Zamfara article. You may not be aware an article about Gusau has already been written and the two articles overlap. It seems that the best solution would be to move information from Zamfara to Gusau as most of the places you have mentioned in the Zamfara article are in Gusau. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 22:31, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Could you move the content that ought to be merged to Gusau please? If you are working on something else and don't want to do it, I can, but I need you to give a confirmation on here first. Thanks! --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 00:46, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
