User:Libertarianmoderate/Alex Nation and other fictional destination articles in userspace content
These pages unnecessarily use data by a banned user. There are many others; just type the user's name into the search box to see them. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:09, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. Do we even need to vote? They violate policy. Ground Zero (talk) 20:24, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- The top of this page says, "Nominations or comments should follow a rationale based on our deletion policy." Therefore, it seems that it's appropriate to vote on nominations that violate policy, and given the discussion in the pub deletion of userspace content should probably follow consensus discussion. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:47, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete This isn't a free hosting site. And there's some possibility that someone will see this nonsense about executing homosexuals and get genuinely concerned somehow. It's not worth it to host his jokes for the 1/15,000,000 odds that he is going to cause someone anxiety. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 21:36, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- I wasn’t aware of that content in the article. Of course I still support deletion, in fact now more strongly so. Wouldn’t oppose a speedy deletion. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 21:44, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete, considering that the user is banned, the content has no conceivable use, and it's potentially offensive for reasons related to the userban. —Granger (talk · contribs) 22:44, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Speedy delete--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 23:02, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- I was agnostic on this until I saw the business about executing LGBT folks. Speedy delete, and the speedier the better. -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 23:58, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Result: speedy delete per consensus. I've left a couple user pages that could be turned into genuine travel topics that contain little to no content, but the fictional destinations are now removed. Thanks to everyone for the quick responses and also to Koavf for discovering an additional concern with the nominated for deletion content in userspace. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 00:24, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
What is an article?. For sure not a bus stop/station(?) in Sarsai Nawar. As a side note it also doesn't help that the article has a stash of random pictures, none which was taken in India, questionable grammar, information like "Contrary to rail, which is usually organized at the national level, it is often easy for anyone to start a bus company." and a too tall banner. --Ypsilon (talk) 15:52, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to Sarsai Nawar or
delete, I don't care which, with a note on the creator's user talk page. Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:32, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Redirect and mergeDelete if there's content that makes merging worthwhile. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 16:42, 16 May 2020 (UTC)- Comment The images and the general text are from Bus travel. --LPfi (talk) 18:37, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, it looked funny with Jyväskylä bus station teleported from the 1980s to India. --Ypsilon (talk) 18:45, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Frankly, this article is an embarrassment to the website. Can we do the redirect sooner rather than later? --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 19:17, 16 May 2020 (UTC)- The Sarsai Nawar article already mentions the bus system, and there's really no need to go into further detail than what's already there. Also, Sarsai Nawar Bus Stand is neither a likely search term nor a "real place". So, don't merge, don't redirect, just delete. -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 19:23, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete, per AndreCarrotflower. Ground Zero (talk) 20:11, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete and, people, please just cast your vote without making unkind comments; the user who made the article is very new, and this was a good-faith attempt to create a useful article.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 20:23, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- I’ve removed the sentence from my comment. I mistakenly thought the article had been changed substantially by others besides the original contributor. Also I’m changing my vote to delete per others. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:49, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete, we don't have articles on bus stations. The same user created w:Sarsai City Bus Stand which looks a lot more useful. AlasdairW (talk) 21:31, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. There is a listing in the city article & it includes a link to the WP article; that is all we need. Pashley (talk) 23:32, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Result: deleted.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 14:38, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Seems to be mostly a receptacle for a few links to tour operators in the area. Certainly not a "city" and does not have a de-wv article... Hobbitschuster (talk) 19:23, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Redirect. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:04, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Redirect to Black Forest. It's a real place, even though not a real article.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 23:01, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Redirect to Black Forest. Ground Zero (talk) 19:10, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
